Our little J bug has been dying to lose a tooth and she finally got her wish...times two:) Without a loose tooth in her head, that we knew of anyway, she bit into a fluffy towel and tugged during a little hissy fit yanking out her two bottom teeth. Couldn't have asked for a more dramatic first tooth loss for our little drama queen!

Fall Traditions

The DeKalb County Fair has been our family's introduction to fall my entire life! So I was so excited to take my baby girl on her first trip this year!

We always try to make at least one run to Crow Moutain each fall for apples...the best if you're ever around Fackler, AL.

Each fall we take a trip out to the Colvin's farm to pick out some pumpkins and take fall pics. This year was extra special because it was Baxley's first visit. Such a fun day! We were so glad Granna went along to take some family shots:)

Peter Pan

It's been wild kingdom in the Seay-Stewart household for the past few weeks as Jensyn performed two weekends in a row in the WBS Children's Theatre presentation of Peter Pan. Though it was an experience she'll never forget, her parents are pooped. Special thanks to her wonderful grandmothers for helping out during practices and performances; it would never have been so smooth without you! We feel so blessed to have Miss KB and the WBS Children's Theatre as an outlet for our budding little star.

Grandparents...what a blessing!

Nothing like a family reunion to make you feel truly blessed (and guilty as crap).We spent Labor Day at Noccolula Falls with my extended family on my father's side. I am so blessed to still have both my paternal and maternal grandmothers and my maternal grandfather. Amazingly I didn't lose my maternal great-grandmother until last year. There aren't many folks my age who can say that. So with Grandparent's Day falling this week, I felt like including some recent pics of my wonderful grandparents who are also wonderful great-grandparents to my daughters. We are truly blessed to have them in our lives and I need to make more of an effort to spend time with each of them whenever possible. Time is hard to come by with all of our busy schedules, but each visit is filled with priceless memories made. My parents and all of my in-laws are also all wonderful grandparents to my girls. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful support system in all of them! Don't forget to visit, call, or at least drop a card to your grandparents September 12!!

Baxley has officially gotten her first taste of football fun and she was a champ! Jensyn loves football season as always and is involved with the Aggie Mini Me Cheerleaders for the second year in a row; she LOVES being out on the field before the games!! House divided when it comes to SEC maybe, but we all love some football:)

The girls and I enjoyed the first pep rally of the season Thursday. Though I'm enjoying my time with Baxley, it was very nice to see so many of my students. Despite the heat, both girls had lots of fun!

Baxley went for her 2 month check up August 23 and she is doing just great! She's up to 11 pounds and 23.5 inches long...that's 35 percentile weight and 55th percentile height...we're so proud of her wonderful progress and we sure are enjoying watching her grow!

Look what I did Mom!

After much dilly dallying on the subject, Jensyn finally decided to have her ears pierced. She wanted her Aunt Magen to take her because she thought Mommy being there would make her cry more:) So I cried at home at the thought of not getting to be there, then laughed when Mag called to say that one was done and she wouldn't get back into the chair for the other one...my little drama queen! Finally Magen got her in the chair and did the deed herself. She sure is proud of her pierced ears...both of them:)

It's so hard to believe my baby girl is now a first grade big girl! Jensyn loves her wonderful teacher Mrs. Woodall and comes home excited every day. I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for her; she loves school...YEAH!!

Beach Trip 2010

With some help from Pop and Granna, we overcame all the medical drama and finally made it to the beach as a family. Everyone had lots of fun! Baxley was a great beach baby, so hopefully both my girls will end up beach bums like me.

The summer was great! Watching our new addition grow and her big sister grow to love her so much was a blessing without words to express. We are so incredibly grateful for the joy with which the good Lord has blessed us.

Girl's Upstairs Makeover

Upon finding out we were expecting, we planned an overhaul upstairs to enlarge the playroom, change out all carpet to hardwood, and purchase "big girl" furnishings for Jensyn Ryann. I've decided to share some photos of Jensy's room and Baxley's nursery. As you can see my nesting period was quite filled!! I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The playroom still has some final touches coming, but the add-on turned out just as we'd hoped.

Sorry for the delay in posts, but with such a busy spring I had to let the blog go a bit. We are happy to share that our precious Baxley arrived Wednesday, June 23 weighing 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring 18 1/2 inches long. She's such a blessing to our little family and we couldn't be more excited to share this joyous news. We'd also like to send a special thank you to all our wonderful friends and family who've been so thoughtful throughout this first week home with our girls.

Okay, so I thought I'd do a good job with this whole posting thing and it turns out I'm quite the slacker. We have a pretty busy schedule these days though. Since I last posted we have started back to school, taken a mini-vacay for my bday, and chauffeured our very busy girl EVERYWHERE. Who knew my 5 year old's schedule would become a full time job in itself. Jensyn is loving soccer, mini-me cheerleading, hand bells, and dance! Her mommy is trying to remember to breathe:)Check out some of the pics below of our action-packed August-September.

Being that it's something I've been wanting to do since my daughter was born, and like many other things have put it off, I decided to create a family blog. My hope is that I get it up and running complete with all the frills in a couple of weeks, so that I'll have a wealth of blogging knowledge by the time school begins. Once I have confirmed our system supports such plans, I'd love to create a class blogspot.
